Advantages and disadvantages of a bourdon tube pressure gauge

Disadvantages of a Bourdon pressure gauge:

Vulnerable to overpressure: Bourdon gauges are vulnerable to damage from overpressure, and may need to be protected with a relief valve or other overpressure protection device.
